Longest Night Service (aka Blue Christmas)

“Feeling blue? Not everyone is up and joyful for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over the future, and other difficulties make parties and the holidays painful for many people in our congregations and communities.
On December 21st at 7 p.m. a Longest Night, or Blue Christmas, service will be held in the St. Marys Methodist Church sanctuary.  It will be a time of reflection in a safe space, a place to find comfort and pray as music is played, communion is offered, and candles are lit in memory of those lost to us or as a symbol of hope for ourselves and others.

All are welcome to come for this special service as St. Marys Methodist invites anyone who might find this service meaningful .
