Auditions for Southern Fried Nuptials
AUDITIONS FOR SOUTHERN FRIED NUPTIALS TO BE HELD MARCH 3 IN ST. MARYSST. MARYS, GA—St. Marys Little Theatre (SMLT) announced that auditions for the comedy play “Southern Fried Nuptials” will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 2 pm at Theater by the Trax, 1000 Osborne Street, St. Marys, GA. According to the show’s director, Ann Walsh, “Southern Fried Nuptials” is a big-hearted comedy about family—southern style.” She said that the show is filled with hilarious moments and zany situations which bring uproarious laughter from the audience. “We have an eclectic southern family dealing with everybody and anybody sticking their nose into the family’s business,” Walsh said. “Two adult daughters whose sibling rivalry make Cain and Abel look civil is just the beginning.” The following roles offer opportunities for those interested in performing. Auditioners will be asked to present a short monologue of their choosing and/or read from a script provided at the audition. 2 women age 30s or 40s 4 women age 50s or 60s 3 men age 30s or 40s 1 male age 20s 1 male age 60s “Unlike many of SMLT’s productions, this is not a musical, so people don’t have to worry about singing,” Walsh said. Anyone interested should be at Theater by the Trax at 1000 Osborne Street, St. Marys, at 2 pm on Sunday, March 3.
Show dates are May 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 7 pm and May 19 and 26 at 2 pm.
